Configuring SMTP (Ricoh)
You may need admin for these steps
The following will outline how to configure the SMTP settings on a Ricoh device, following steps should be similar on other devices. Please keep in mind you will need the administrator password for the printer in order to configure the SMTP settings. You will also need access to their Office 365 Admin Portal.
If you are setting up SMTP for Office 365 managed email addresses, the SMTP settings should be as followed:
Server Address: smtp.office365.com
Username: Your Office 365 Address (e.g. example@yourdomain.com)
Password: Your Office 365 Password
Port Number: 587 (With SSL/TLS)
Authentication: Required
If you are not using Office 365, you should be able to find their SMTP settings just by searching for them online.
Configuring Devices SMTP Settings
1. Before you begin, you must set up or have a email and password on Office 365, to use for authentication with SMTP.
2. First you must access the printers control panel, See Accessing Printer Control Panel article first.
3. Once you have accessed the printers control panel, to change the SMTP settings you will be required to Login as administrator Press the Login button on the top right.
4. Enter login credentials as shown below. Then press Login
5. Then, select the Configuration option, under Device Management.
6. Select Email within the configuration options
7. Enter the email you create in step one in the Administrator Email Address box as shown below.
8. Now you must fill out the SMTP settings. You must enable authentication,make sure to fill out the settings as they are below.
9. Once finished, press Ok. SMTP is now setup, if you are needing to add a user to the address book to use SMTP, see this article.
