SharePoint Permissions
You will need admin within the intranet network
If a customer requests permissions on their Office 365 SharePoint, if we support and manage their Office 365 environment, this can be done by login as yourself on the Microsoft Partner Site and accessing the customers Office 365 tenant and then selecting the SharePoint option.
For internal none technical staff, please obtain their line manager approval first before giving access to files/folders. Once you have this approval, this can be done. Ideally we should be adding people to department or job role groups in Office 365 Admin but if this isn't possible we can manually give access to a specific folder/file as per below:
2. Click on Shared Documents
3. Click on the cog
4. Click on Site Contents
5. Click on Internal
6. Next to the folder you need to give permissions to, hover over it and click the 3 dots
7. Click on manage access and then next to Direct Access click on the + and add the user in. Please also untick Notify people.
